Phillips HDD 100 plugin

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a plugin for the Phillips HDD100 Mp3 player? So I can use Media Center to upload Mp3 files to it instead of the software whicht comes with player?

Does the Phillips HDD100 appear in the MC 11 tree under CD/DVD/Devices?  If not, does it appear to your PC as a removable or fixed drive in Explorer? If not, does WMP recognize it?

Steve,
I'm using MC 10 at the moment.
It sees the HDD100 as a local harddisk, but from MC 10 I can't see the directory where the MP3 are.
The software which comes with the player transvers the MP3 files to a directory and also coverts the file to a complete other file name.
WMP doesn't recognize it

Cor,

From within Explorer, can you see the folder where the tracks are stored?

Some devices install drivers which allow a device to appear in Explorer using a driver, but that is different than truly appearing to your PC as a removable or fixed drive.

Steve,

In the Explorer I can see the tracks in a directory but they all have filenames with numbers and letters which as far as I can see are radom given to the MP3 files, when I transver them to the player.

Cor,

Can you drag and drop files directly onto the device from Explorer and have them be recognized by the device (can you play them?)?

My guess is no, which tells me that the software that comes with the device has a proprietary way to access this device. If this is the case and WMP does not recognize it (which means there is no WMDM support, which we provide an interface to) we do not have a solution short of getting the appropriate information from the manufacturer of this device.
