Media Center 10 losing it's license
« on: December 21, 2004, 02:28:56 pm »

This is the second time it has happened to me in the last two weeks...  I start up media center, and it tells me that the trial period has expired and I should buy media center to continue using it.   So, I reinstalled the license once, and now about a week or so later, it is telling me again that it has expired.
 Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks...

We've seen this a couple times before, and I think it was a program that was changing the machine name or the workgroup.

Also, check your system date.

Okay, that really helped me out.  Both times, I had just changed the computer name and the workgroup.  I've been moving computers around and such.  I had no idea the license was tied into these.

Thanks for the help, I will go and restore now...
