Problem with CD ripping and burning
« on: October 27, 2002, 08:32:38 am »

Hi,

I told a friend what a wonderful software MJ is. He did the download and installation, and got a big problem with CD ripping and burning. He uses MJ 8.0.388 and Windows 98/SE.

When he starts to rip, the process is interrupted after some seconds. Burning also is not possible. The setting for the CD drive is set to "auto config" and cannot be changed. It's connected via IDE.

Has anybody an idea of a solution for that problem?

CDex, for example, does work properly. So I think, the problem lies within MJ...

Try changing the settings for the drive.

There is a good FAQ here on CD burning.  Under Help at the top of the window.

It is always bettter to go to "Help" in MJ and Select "System Info" and then post it in your message.

also

are you using generic burner or not.
