MC9 w/Laptop: Very loud volume burst when adjstng EQ
« on: January 10, 2005, 11:11:40 pm »

I'm curious if any of the former (or current) MC 9.0.180 users ever came across this issue:

If I adjust the EQ settings while playing a song, the volume gets very loud while adjusting and then reverts back to the "set" volume level. It doesn't matter whether I'm using Replay Gain or not.

The computer is an older IBM Thinkpad 600X, (x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping w/ 130 kb Ram, win2k).

Am I correct in assuming this must have something to do with either the lack of proccessing power or lack of ram or both? Everything else functions fine, even visualizations (altho sometimes jerky, again lack of cpu/ram power).

Can anyone shed any light on this?

This doesn't happen on my desktop btw.

Edit: The music source is a 200gig USB HD.
