Using ozone plugin in MJ11
« on: January 12, 2005, 09:25:42 am »

I have read in this forum that the ozone winamp plugin works with MJ media center.  However, I have tried to install the winamp ozone dll plugin (both with and without the directx host being installed) but it doesn't take (e.g. doesn't even show up in the plugin list.

Help please.  I have used this plugin with Winamp and WMP, and really want to be able to use it with MJ.

Thanks, in advance...

Hmmm, I have not used the plugin in MC 11 as I have the full tool. Let me see if I can install that plugin without interfering with the full Ozone. If so I'll see how to get it to work if possible.
Did you try doing it this way?
After installing the plugin, load in MC via Tools/Plugin manager/DSP/add. You will have to navigate to the folder the plugin installed to and find the DLL.
If that does not work, than I'd say the plugin does not work with MC 11. But Matt or someone from JR would have to say for certain.

Also, see this nice post:

I tried that.  I navigated to the winamp folder and tried to install the ozone dll, but it never showed up in the MC plugin dsp area.

MC11 didn't complain...just nothing happened.

Then I'd say it is no longer compatible.

But I'll leave that to Matt or others to say for certain.
