PSP Tips & Tricks

Folder Support
- Audio files must be copied to \PSP\Music or one folder below that
    - Examples for Files & Paths setting in handheld advanced options:
       PSP\Music\   or
PSP\Music\[Artist]\  (this will group tracks by artist but it will
effectively disable the ability to have a playlist)
- Image files must be copied to PSP\Photo\
- Video file must be copied to MP_ROOT\100MNV01\

Playlist Support
- All tracks in the playlist must be in the same directory as the m3u file
- Only one playlist file (m3u) is recognized per folder
- If a playlist file is found in a subfolder of PSP\Music the playlist replaces the subfolder
    - Combining these last two rules, if you have the following:
       \PSP\Music\Beatles\Let It Be.m3u
       \PSP\Music\Beatles\White Album.m3u
       \PSP\Music\Beatles\let it be tracks.mp3...
       \PSP\Music\Beatles\white album tracks.mp3...
when navigating music on the PSP, "Beatles" and "Let It Be" will not appear, only "White Album" will be listed
- If you set Audio path and Playlist path to the same valid path (PSP\Music\Playlists\), the PSP will support one synchronized playlist

Artist Support
- The PSP will group files by artist if you set the Audio path to PSP\Music\[Artist]\

Support for WMA playback was added in PSP firmware version 2.60
- Firmware can be downloaded from http://www.us.playstation.com/psp.aspx?id=SoftwareUpdate
- Enable WMA Playback in System Settings
- It doesn't look like embedded album art is supported
