go to playing now, sort, right click on playing now, update order

media is placed in playing now by "seq number" and that may or may not be in the same order as your files are sorted.

How are you starting playback?

If you're looking at a list, Playing Now's order will match the lists order.  List ordering can be configured with "Customize Current View..."

thx for the answer marko!!

yes the first option of double clicking the first file (when it switched to play all) works!! finally something that will work normaly :) . unfortunantly when i press back and use the "play" link it reverts to the same random behavior.... any ideas what next to try  :)

unfortunantly the new fix (11. Fixed: Clicking "Play" on a view header would not honor sorting specified inside of a smartlist) didnt help :-[ :'(...
I really wish the guys form j.river would address this problem as its really really annoying......also did you guys notice that the option to right click and choose display type (g-force,viz,track info) has been gone for ages and no one seems to care  :)? i really hope that they get it fixed soon.
