There is something strange going on with importing. I am not sure what to report, but everything isn't working as it should. I never do global imports from the import menu. My usual way is to import by selecting the files or folders in Windows Explorer and right-click import. It has always been working flawlessly until now. Now it works sometimes and sometimes nothing happens. I have reinstalled versions 11.0.177 and 11.0179, but I haven't been able to isolate the problem yet.

That wasn't an MC bug. Another program screwed things up. I uninstalled it and MC came back to normal. Right-click import works normally now.

Will you provide more details on this?  It might help others.  A new thread would be best.

The program was "Mp3/Tag Studio 3.5, beta 8". I was interested to see how it works after following this thread: Problem with "update tags from library".

After writing about the problem I noticed that also WinRAR's shell integration was broken and started to search for the reason outside MC. I found the guilty part quite quickly.

Do you have shell integration enabled with it? I verified the problem by re-installing the program before naming it here. Though, my right-click menu is already quite populated. I don't know if there is any limit or if some of the program combinations made the problem show up.

Since I have no use for the program I am not going take this further and report this to the developer. I have some other programs for tagging, editing and CDDB access. Besides, usually MC is enough for my needs.
