Mostly cosmetic issues except for losing the action window after a sync.
The sync seems to work fine. I'm not testing things like iPod to MC playcount transfer just checking the basic song and playlist transfer. Testing with 3G, library 40K songs, about 4,000 songs on the iPod.

Re-docking iPod before each test.

--Click AW/handheld. No indication button is clicked. 4 second pause with no hourglass.
--Click synchronize. Button shows clicked. Hourglass flickers once. No hourglass for
  4 seconds until "Synching info with MC" window displays.
--Close synchronize before transfer. MC prompts to clear the queue. Why prompt? Shouldn't it always clear?
--Click transfer. Transfer works. On close MC prompts to clear queue.
-- Action window is not visible after transfer finishes when files are transfered.

I covered this in the other thread.  In regards to the AW at the end of the sync, I think it makes sense to close the progress AW.

Hi Steve,
I thought I'd start a clean topic for each new build. It's easier for me to follow than the  generic iPod issues threads. Would you prefer to have them in one thread?

I wasn't specific enough about the action window. The base action window disappears not the handheld action window. After the sync completes there is no action window at the bottom left corner of MC. No title bar, no artifacts at all. I have to restart MC to see that window again.

The disappearing base action window should be gone in 182.

Hi Steve,
The base action window does not disappear with 183. 
Extra dialogs seem to be gone and the cosmetic issues are improved.
A couple of casual tests on playcount and lastplayed showed that data coming across fine.

I can confirm that base window issue isn't fixed in 183.

Also I get the "you have files in the queue waiting to be transferred...do you want to clear the queue?" AFTER the synch - clicking "yes" after using the AW and synch route just gets rid of the message.

Doing the same after r/clicking the Ipod brings up a "you have used an invalid arguement" message with a big red "X" n the middle.

The synch process works fine now thanks - one little thing  - still getting different "free space" data using the 2 methods of synching.

BG was reporting that the base window was not disappearing which is the correct behavior and was what changed and is what I also can verify with 183.

I cannot replicate this. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall 183. Is anyone else seeing this with 183?

Sorry -what is hapening wit hme is that the who;e AW diappears after the synch.

I've done about ten sync's with 183 and they've all gone fine. No disappearing action window, no extra dialogs. Everthing's OK.
