Reinstalling License
« on: February 16, 2005, 04:53:03 pm »

I recently reinstalled the program and was trying to install the license and received a note that  Media Center's license can be downloaded 10 times per year and that I only have 3 license installation left even though I have only done so twice since the start of the year.

Will somebody please look into that for me.

Has it been a year yet?

The year started when you purchased.  New ones will become available as the old restores pass one year.

You needn't be concerned about it though.  If you run out, just post here.

License details can be found here:

In other words, as Gateley (from JRiver) explained it some time ago:

"The year period is not from a certain day to a certain day, it is 1 year from the moment you try to restore. There's no magic moment when all your restores come back, each restore you use becomes available again one year after you actually use it."

It's a good explanation. Even I can understand it.  :)

I remember seeing that movie (2001) back in the 60's at a movie theater on Othello Air Force Base (Closed Down In The Late 60's Early 70's) with medal fold out chairs for 15cents.

"15 cents"  Great punchline.  LOL

I never thought 2001 would come.

I was a little boy when I went to see it with my father. It was a bit scary. I didn't sleep well next night. Then I read the Clarke's book and I've been a sci-fi fan since then.

2001 was different to what we could have imagined. Not a sci-fi world. No holiday trips to the Moon and personal flying cars.

Except the digital revolution. No one actually predicted that we are going to have personal super computers (by the standards of that time) that are connected to a worldwide network.
