Why Should I upgrade from MJ8
« on: March 06, 2005, 11:40:31 am »

Advice, please.
I am currently an MJ8 user, and use this program as a jukebox (through my sound system) on a computer primarily dedicated to copying and cleaning old vinyl recordings, copying cd's, downloading,  encoding, playing, and burning music files (currently up to about 7500).  No video. And my complete system is working satisfactorily. Why should I consider an upgrade to MC 10 or 11?
Thanks

No clue about V8

but its was panes that caught my attention in v9.1

and now cue support (still a bit rough) in v11. So i'm still on 10.

The question is what do you need...you sound as tho you are happy with v8.

Why don't you give it a 30 days trial? You'll never go back... 8)

Also post your system info

i use a PIII 700Mhz with 256M (collection is 3 times the size of yours ) and find 10 to be quite responsive.

If you're happy, I agree, why change?

But, if you find that you want or need to convert formats, to sync a portable, laptop, or another computer, if you think you'd like to write MP3 CDs, then MC 11 is a good upgrade.

I don't do video much and I don't use any of the document handling capabilities of MC 11.

But for audio, it is my favorite. Slices, dices, even julienne!

MC11 is better, when it comes to saving to tags (minus the few bugs as of last few builds as reported in the bug thread).
