IRMAN plugin in MC
« on: March 15, 2005, 06:00:57 pm »

Which Manufacturers codes map to the various functions (such as Stop, Start, Pause etc.) in Media Center? I have a NAD remote which controls my amp etc. but it doesn't seem to be active for MC. I am able to teach the IRMAN plugin in MC and it "learns" the codes for the functions I specify, but they don't activate MC. ?

I don't believe MC is tied to any manufacture's particular code. MC maps the IR code for whatever remote button you press to the selected command during the learn phase and uses that until you change it.  As far as it not working, did you  inadvertently disable the plugin after you "taught" MC your codes?

The IRMAN plugin is active. The learned code from my remote doesn't activate the functions in MC player.

Maybe try with another remote you have sitting around to see if it makes a difference.

A good test is to try use the same button for two functions in MC.  If MC doesn't complain, it means the button codes aren't consistently coming through.
