External encoder broken
« on: March 15, 2005, 02:49:49 am »

Bug in external encoder:

Select External Encoder, then the setup box for external encoder appears an dI enter data correctly and close the window as well as options window.

Then reopen options > setup box for external encoder appears again..

This continues endless  :'(

Anyone know what's wrong??

This worked perfectly with MC 9 (ext enc. 2.0.12), but with MC 11 (ext enc. 2.0.13) no way.

Please help

What build of MC11?  If not the latest, please try it.

Where are you using the external encoder? Ripping? Burning? Transcoding files?

Thanks for replies.

Sorry, I forgot to mention my version: I use latest build 214.

External encoder is used for ripping and transcoding.
But the error is in the options window of MC, not in the encoding or transcoding window.

BTW, I tested on a clean system (VMWare) to avoid conflicts with other SW.
So it's really only related to MC.

Thanks

Update to my tests:

encoding / transcoding itself works properly, it's only annoying that the advanced window popups automatically in the options window, when clicking on "Encoding" on the left side.

It's independent of the used encoder (tested lame.exe, x3enc.exe, gogo.exe)

Why does it automatically open the advanced window for the external encoder, it doesn't happen for any other encoder which has an advanced settings dialog.

Please fix this
Thanks
