MC 11 Question on use of Multiple Views
« on: March 30, 2005, 02:33:59 pm »

I'am running 11.0.225 with 2 views: Playing Now and my Total audio Library.

While listening to Playing Now (view 1) i would like to search my library (view 2).
The Search-option results in a filter on both views.
I would like that to be restricted to 'the active view', in my case the total library.

(I have used the Quick Search option. This works on the active view, but it's functionality is poor ..)

Am I overlooking an option?
It is something coming in later?

In my opinion it should search only in the active view. It is useless to extend the search to the other views. Though, I don't know how it should behave when another view is activated. Perhaps it could memorize the search, show an empty search bar on the other view and redisplay the memorized search if the user activates the first view again. Ideally it should have separate search bars for all views (up to three separate and independent search bars).

I totally agree.
This would be additional functionality.
I will try to link this thread to the main 'MC 11 Bug Thread'.
Thanks
