Hi,

The music industry has set up a new website to promote legal use of music medias. http://www.musicunited.org

Browsing through the site I found an interesting page on how to use p2p software the legal way.
As said on this page : "When used properly, "peer-to-peer" file sharing is an exciting new technology. Unfortunately, P2P networks are often used improperly, usually for the illegal distribution of copyrighted content."

The solution to use p2p legally, according to the music  industry, is simply to disable the upload capability. wich turns the software into a "p2" or "2p" (I'm not sure) utility.

I'am confuse: the two p2p i use are not on they list.
Do this means they are legal?

I can understand they try to stop the illegal exchange of files allowed by p2p networks but they are not obliged to think people are stupid...

Had these people ever used the internet b4?  Do they even know what p2p is?  That is funny!  How can the recording industry expect to counteract something when they do not even know what it is or how it works?
