I cant view thumbnail images for image files on my handhelds (digital camera memory card). Is there any way to do this?

Do you have content other than images on that card? MC should default to thumbnail view if all you have are images. If you have mixed content, then the details mode is the default.

You can switch the view, too.  Ctrl-U cycles through all views, or use the menu option.

My drives have both pictures and music.

I am also using a portable USB drive and the same thing happens: picture (jpg) thumbnails are not showing up when viewing the drive as a plugin, no matter what view scheme I use. THe "thumbnail" is the default image when there is no thumbnail. The image also doesnt appear throught the AW image feature.

Also, my drive is not refreshing correctly. If I add pictures to the drive, while still using MC, the new pictures will NOT show up in the drive plugin even upon refreshing. However, the pictures WILL show up if I browse for the drive in "My Computer" within MC. I have to restart MC for the plugin portable attribute of the drive to show the changes. I hope this makes sense!

If I add pictures to the drive,...

How are you adding them?

I have tried both Library Tools->Move/Copy Files inside MC and Windows Explorer to copy images to the USB device. The thumbnails are not showing up in the plugin viewer in MC. However, they do show up in the My Computer part of MC.  I have also reformated the drive and  uploaded only pictures to the drive.  Not only did refresh not work (i had to restart MC for the pictures to show up in the plugin view), but the thumbnails don't work either.

Thumbnail viewing of jpg files on portables should be enabled in tonight's build.
