Llicense expired after MC11 trial
« on: April 18, 2005, 02:12:05 pm »

hi

i own media center 10 for quite a while now. recently (30 days ago :) i installed mc11 to evaluate. now this evaluation period is over, and i can't open mc10 any more. i get the same message as if i opened mc11: "Your 30 day trial has expired...." - i installed mc10 and mc11 in different folders, and so i thought, this would work.

i would not like to use one of my valuable restores, since i reformat my harddisk every once in a while.

any suggestions?

thank you
mario

Try uninstalling MC11, rebooting, and re-installing MC10.

If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to use a restore.

As Jim said, reinstall the latest MC10 on top of the old MC10 installation. I had the same problem once and that helped.
