MC10 recording line-in audio and splitting
« on: April 24, 2005, 01:39:44 pm »

Hi All,

Here's an MC problem I cannot find a direct and clear answer to.  I am recording line-in audio from tape using the record sound feature.  The context is an Audiobook, very quiet and sporadic with silence.  Using the automatic splitting options, I come up with very random sizes and gaps not quite optimized for listening.  I would like to use this option, but restrict the track time to 4 minutes.  The problem I encounter is, regardless of settings, the "maximum track length" option does not work.  I've tried this both with and without auto track splitting but cannot get the feature to work.  I've seen many others with similar problems but the answers all go back to using the automatic split feature.  I'm running the latest MC 10.0.173 with all current and updated drivers.  If anyone could offer a resolution to this, it would be great since I have about 300 tapes to record.  Thank you!
