track 1, track 2, track 3  Please throw your ideas
« on: October 16, 2002, 11:19:18 am »

Scenario....
Not connected to internet.
Ripped many music cds encoded as mp3 format
They show as Track 1, Track 2,  etc.
.......
Now connected to the internet but the tracks remain anonymous.
How can I have MJ auto search and populate the artist, song, etc everytime it starts when I finally connect to the internet?  Maybe it can't replicate automatically but atleast I'd like a manual process.
I would think and hope this can be done by selecting all of the unknown mp3's and not one by one.

I have tried the route of right clicking on the file, properties, tools, then Get info from CDDB.
This is what I get in return:
Action: Accessing file CDDB Info
Status: CDDB: Malformed command sent from server to client

Result: still not updated.  Any other ideas to try?

Try select the files, right-click and choose Properties, from the Tools menu, choose Get Information From CDDB.
