Ultimate Configuration for MC11
« on: April 25, 2005, 01:34:52 pm »

Suppose I would like to use all the functions MC 11 has to offer.

What hardware would I need?
Is there documentation (whitepaper) available that describes the possibilities?

No, there is no white paper.  And it would depend on what you're trying to do.  The list of what you might want is almost endless.

Well ... that does not really help.
I think I know what the possibilities are with music. I am waiting for cheap Wireless Media Receivers (UPnP) to be available for sharing my music through my home.

Maybe a more specific question will help. I would like to make the step from music to movie/TV with MC:
What TV Card would turn my PC into a TV/DVDRecorder.
I am not looking for the most expensive one!!
Do I need 2 cards to watch en record movies?

Thanks
Peter

As I've said before, defining a reference set of 4-5 MC11 configurations would be a good idea...

Look at the manual for most kinds of pro audio equipment - they all have a section with examples showing how things would be set up.

Of course there are an infinite number of configurations. But if someone is willing to build a system around MC11, why not point them to a known and tested config?
