Unicode Entry and Num Pad
« on: April 26, 2005, 11:01:35 am »

I mentioned this as a bug several builds ago on MC11. It's still there--must not be a bug and it still doesn't work.

When I try to enter foreign letters such as ñ using <alt> 0164 on the num pad, the cursor jumps out of the tagging window as though the num lock key were not actuated. Pressing num lock (even though it's on) results in a "pipe" character and nothing more.

I enter a lot of foreign characters and I see only five solutions:

1. Go back to MC10 (not desired)

2. Cut and paste each character with windows character map (get serious!)

3. Buy a spanish keyboard (right)

4. Clue this ignorant soul in on how to enter these characters in MC11 (I've searched until I'm sick of it), or

5. Fix the **$^@#%#$ thing.

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

Thank you.

MC's Alt+1...9 keyboard shortcuts were being translated inside of edit controls.

This will be changed next build.  Thanks.
