MC crashes badly. When you play a media file like an mp3
then,  you pause then you try to close it. It crashes/freezes badly.

It's unlikely that this is an MC bug.

I tried this on Windows XP and it does not crash.
However, when I tried this is one of my Windows 2000 systems, it crashes. Maybe this is in windows 2000 bug of some kind.

Im running regular visualations. And I'm running DFX by www.fxsound.com

Uninstall DFX.  Try updating drivers.

Ok, I tried this in 3 different computers: Compaq, emachines and IBM And,
I got the same results. I uninstall DFX.
I even disabled Visualations. And, Media Center still freezes
after pausing a media file like mp3 then trying to close it
this causes to freeze Media Center badly. This bug apears to be in
Windows 2000. In Windows XP it closes fine no problems.
Even with Visualations and DFX running.

Please try MC 11.0.252 (available tonight) to see if this problem is fixed.

Certain Windows threading functions seem to behave poorly under W2K in some cases. (but not XP or ME)

If the problem looks fixed, we may be able to roll this into MC 10 at a later date.

I just tried your latest version of Media Center 11.0.252
and it works great the dead-lock is gone, when you try to stop when its paused,  In Windows 2000. However, I'm
not interested in Media Center 11 until it's officially released.
