Is there anyway to get rid of the filename in the track popup/tooltip? With long filenames it can extend 3 monitors away, only I don't have 3 monitors view this info! ?

In my opinion it should be removed only as a selectable option. I find the filename info in popups useful because in my case the actual filename field is visible in about two monitor widths to the right. (My library has 44 fields.) I try to make as short filenames as possible. I use file tags and MC library for additional track information. Perhaps it could wrap the names.

I'll go along with the selectable option. You point out why I'd like it. I do not have 2 monitors worth of screen or patience for that.

Well, also I have to scroll to the right and widen the column if I like to see the filename and path. Action window is too narrow even for my shortish paths & names. That's why the filename in popup is useful for me.

MC could have a right-click file information window like some other programs have. Actually, I would like to see a detachable and resizable Action Window. Then I could reposition and resize it when needed.

Let's start gathering private wish lists for the next MC version. I already have a short list waiting for a suitable time.

I asked for this quite a long time ago.

I also wanted the Font color in tool tip to be changable...

Ever try to read the tool tip using the Thunderstorm skin and the Thunderstrom WB skin?
The background is black, and so is the font.

Don't remove filname or path.

The 'tooltips' sometimes are very useful this way updating tags whithout scrolling.

Making it an option or wrapping would both be ok with me. I just want it to stay within the screen. My monitor setting is 800x600. Maybe it works better with other settings, but this is the setting my eyes are most comforable with.

maybe if they made a specific size to the tool tip to fit all its contents excepts for the file name and make it auto scrolled be a good idea
