« on: May 03, 2005, 01:42:52 am »

I want to purchase the latest version, but when is the anticipated final release for MC 11?

I'm looking at reinstalling because my burner not being recognized. How will the licensing work? I have to install on about 4 machines at home and 2 at work, I'm almost out of registration.

The Install Keys are time limited - you can license any number of machines with the same key so long as you do it within 14 days of downloading the key.

You can also re-activate the key up to 10 times per "rolling" year (meaning when the "oldest" activation was more than 1 year ago it no longer counts).

OK, so now in the process of trying to correct my CD Burner not being recognized and me being a putz. I accidently used up 2 restores and only have 3 left. Where can you find out when it it that your restores rollover?

I'm not sure where you can that out, but I do know that Jim (the CEO of JRiver) has stated many times that if you run out of restores, just post here and they can probably help you out.  I'm sure that system is just designed to prevent massive abuse (eg. posting your serial number on Shareaza or at some warez website) not to stop you from using your program that you legitimately paid for...

I've actually only got 1 restore left (I nuke/pave my machines a lot but I never seem to time them within 14 days of eachother), and I'm sure Jim will help me out when I use that last one up.

I'm telling you, I must be a putz. I just realized that I moved my library because it's on an external usb drive. You can't burn cd's if the library is remote.

If this is the case, remember that you have 30 days trial before you need to register. That gives you 44 days between installs.... which at 10 per year... should give you 440 days worth of restores per year.... i.e. more than enough if you use your head.

I used one install for MJ6
I used one install for MJ7
I used one install for MJ8
I used one install for MC9
I used one install for MC10
I used one install for MC11

And registered it on 3 of my computers

Sometimes i wonder why people make it seem harder than it really is.

You assume I only have MC installed on one machine...

Bad assumption.  Besides, why would I want to use the trial period (and deal with the nag window -- I know, you can turn it off) when I actually did pay for MC?  Either way, JRiver's policy is more than fair!  ;D
