ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter110262.exe

3. Fixed: Some skin items could be incorrectly drawn with a slight amount of transparency.
4. Fixed: Mini View position text and sliders would not update properly during playback.

6. Changed: Log files are now created in the Media Center sub-directory. (ex. C:\Documents & Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\JRiver\Media Center 11\Log.txt)
7. Changed: Handheld views show a picture of a generic handheld. (instead of a specific, possibly wrong handheld)
8. Fixed: Media Center could crash after restoring a library backup.
9. Fixed: Sorting file lists could be slower than expected in some cases.
10. Fixed: Artist Info searches wouldn't work as expected for artist names with spaces in them.

12. Fixed: Additional Roku autodetection.
13. Fixed: UPnP Settings for Allow Visual and Filter International Characters sometimes didn't work.
14. Fixed: Media Center could import broken links from playlists in some cases.

4. Changed: Debug logging changes will not fully take effect until MC is restarted.

11.0.260 (5/6/05)

1. Fixed: Z skin did not have a handle on horizontal sliders. (again -- please let us know if it disappears again)
2. Changed: MC will show the "can't play any files" error after 1000 silent failures for large playlists. (otherwise it can be too slow when a drive gets accidently disconnected, and you're trying to play a 25,000 song playlist)
3. NEW: Updated MC 11 about box.
4. Optimized: Initial loading time for the file database is much faster. (can cut several seconds off the MC load time when using a large library)
5. Optimized: Core code shared between all components starts much faster and uses less memory -- the cumulative speed and memory savings between all pieces is quite substantial.
6. Optimized: Library views are built faster.
7. Fixed: Pressing backspace while at the end of an in-place edit would not always work as expected.
8. Fixed: Library pane scroll position would not be properly restored when returning to a view with the back shortcut.

New issues:

  • Some skins are missed up when loaded like Pixos and thunderstorm ( i think MC skining engine in this build is not working fine )
  • Mini-me skins time update is not working properly
  • After installing and restarting my PC... i got windows host server error and MC did not finalize setup and media sheculder did not auto startup
  • MC sometimes crash while starting up ( you can try it by opening and closing MC many times )
  • Disabled bars icons showed as enabled when changing skins, then you need to hover it to get disabled again.

Old issues still presest:

  • Mni-e skin transparet when inactive is not working properly (sometimes you have to click on MC and then click anywhere elso to get transparent.
  • Media library selections reset when getting back to it by back button.
  • No video controls (brightness, contrast, etc..).
  • When starting MC takes a little bit while to start (In this build and the previous one)
  • You have to change tabs in media library in order to update tags info (media library does not update tag info untill changing tab)
  • MC seems to have a problem with more than 1 storage area handleds (Internal memory+MMC...etc)
  • CD look up is not working properly when changing search site and clicking search

Create a view scheme which includes a 'rating' column.  Then include a parameter in 'step 4' which excludes files with a rating 'between' 2 values.  The rating column will be blank when it shouldn't be...

MC is not drawing the selection bar in tree view properly.

More on this:  MC seems to be drawing the centre section of the selection image vertically offset upwards.

This same behaviour is also visible in the parameter bar in 'edit view scheme' 'step 4'

Second that. So far, though, I only see it on the Player Display and the Search Bar.

2 Bugs :
1. At the end of  printing a playlist, sometimes "next button" open the print dialog again and continuously.
2. Now playing : There is a corruption of the coverarts (embedded on idtags). When you play a song, it's show another mp3's coverart or always the same coverart.
Hava a goodluck.

Hi,

In 262, Still the same problem as in 261 with theater view.
When launching external programs from Theater View, the programs do not show on the foreground, MC always keep focus.

Last build that worked Ok was 255.

Have a good day,

Christian

I have a problem when starting playback of audio files (WMA and MP3)

Playback starts and then after about 1 second pauses for a second or so then continues again.

This has been an issue for quite a while,  but I keep forgetting to report it.

It only happens when I first select "play" to start playing the first track of an album or playlist, subsequent files don't pause.

It's like MC starts playing before the buffer is ready, and then catches up with itself for the rest of the playlist/album.

I have tried changing the buffer size and this does not seem to change the symptoms.

I am playing the files via a wireless network (802.11g) off a network share.

After that initial glitch, playback is fine, it's just an annoying glitch at the start.

Upon first starting 262 after installing (and rebooting), MC appeared but was unresponsive to anything. I had to remove the process. Starting again made it work.

The 'name' is missing for all songs that have a dash in the file name
e.g. 'Collective Soul - Blue Christmas.mp3' They all show up as blank.  Seemed to  be ok in build 258, but broken after that somewhere.

MC does not play any real media files even if a real player installed on the system

same for me and more

When i Customize Current View the fields artist and album beeing switched,
or adding a new field, it adds an allready existing field at random places.

Import cannot be broken off.  After click on will break off further imported.  The button is however pressed!

"WASTE OF TIME"
« Reply #17 on: May 10, 2005, 11:48:19 am »

This morning before heading out to work I tried to sync my iPod.  I jumped in the shower after hitting sync.  When I got dressed and went to unplug my iPod I received the error that a file was of the wrong format and could not be transferred.  That in itself was fine, but the fact is I had to hit ok for everything else to transfer.  This seems very MS Windows (ass backwards) always asking for validation.  What ever happened to the unattended sync? Why do I have to hit ok, does it make a different if I hit OK before the transfer???  I still want to sync my iPod.  That error should have been reported in a transfer error log after all possible transfers were made.  DO I HAVE TO SIT I FRONT OF my iPod as it updates.  Please consider having an option to give me a choice of how I want my errors report; if not just getting rid of error intervention messages altogether.  And yes, I could set my playlist not to include any non iPod friendly files but I’m not going to go through 50 playlist to that.  It’s a simple fix and I’m sure most “sensible” people would agree.
