MC10 with library on network
« on: May 14, 2005, 04:17:41 am »

I am trying to set up a system where I have all of my files on a computer (server) in one room while managing them across the network with a more powerful computer.  It seems to work ok.  Able to add all of the files to media center and play them.  Just tried to rip a cd to the network folder, and cannot see where exactly the file is located.  In the settings, this is what MC10 shows for the output file base path.

D:\Documents and Settings\Eric\NetHood\e on Server (Server)\

What is really weird is that the cd successfully ripped, but I am unable to locate the files themself.  Within MC10, the cds have been added to the library and I am able to play them (without the cd being in the drive).  I have not found the files by way of xp search on either the server computer nor the system I am trying to manage the files from.  Any idea where the files are?  How can I get them to rip to the folder on the server computer system by way of the LAN.  Thank you.

In the Rip Action Window, choose options, then File Locations. You can set it there.
