I had a problem with MusicMatch JukeBox hanging on importing to its Music Library. I have to still use MMJB due to its Preference, Tempo and Mood tags. I had used it a long while back to rip+encode some cd's before moving to MJ (to use its LAME encoder and other nice tag/file/editing tools).
Sometime in the last 2 weeks using MJ I did a change filenames from tags and on about 10 tracks the ID3V2 tag was replaced with garbage which included a string something like "image/jpg" as a hex editor revealed. But at least the ID3V1 tag was still at the end. I was lucky in that I could see in MJ that some tracks Genre's had been changed to Other - indeed those were the ones that had the munged v2 tags and that MMJB would hang on import.
So I changed them to the Genre's that they had been originally, and I guess that cleaned them up enough because MMJB will now import them. Anybody else have problems like this? In fact one of the bad tracks that I did finally get MMJB to import and the I know MJ touched last during a change filename from tags and I know used to have a v2 tag still has image/jpg where the v2 tag should be, here is the first part as seen in a hex editor:
