Hey,
I have an issue here. First, I'm using an iPod photo and analyzed mp3 files. My earphones are Shure e3c (canalphone). Therefor I don't want the volume to be very loud. Currently I use like 1/10 of the whole volume-slider. The music sound 'best' when the slider is in the last half of the slider.
So, as I have understood one will have to add (replay gain) when playing back analyzed tracks. My replay gain is -13.2 in MC. So I have to add about the same for the track not to suffer (i.e. lack of bass and so).
On the iPod I want to apply replay gain with 13 but then my iPod becomes too loud. So I use Adjust all file with something like -75%. It doesn't seem to work, however, since the iPod is still way to loud.
How should I do this?
Thanks for any info or tips.
-Rasmus
PS: Steve, there is a mini-bug since you can chose -0,0dB in the Replay Gain scale
edit: It seems as if negative volume doesn't work, since it gets really loud when adjusting it ...
edit2: It seems that if I put replay gain to be -8 or -9 or so the volume will fit me, but won't this have a negative effect on the sound?
