DVD Playback Problem
« on: May 27, 2005, 03:05:59 pm »

I'm having an issue playing DVDs in JRiver.  When I popped in my Chappelle's Show DVD, it first said it had a problem with the copy protection, which was new since the rest of my DVDs had no such issue. I went out and downloaded and tried a bunch of codecs, and now MC says:

Quote
DVD Error
There were problems setting up for DVD-Video playback
*2 out of 3 DVD-Video streams failed to render properly
    -audio stream
    -subpicture stream
*No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection
*Decoded closed caption data not rendered properly

The dialog box also adds what to check to correct it, which I did to no avail.  Interesting thing is that the DVD plays in my DVD software, PowerDVD, but not in JRiver.  Now though, after I play any sort of videos my computer slows down to a halt and sometimes explorer crashes when I click on a video file.

Could someone provide some direction as to what I should do to correct these issues? Thanks

PCE,
Bobby

edit: I forgot to put up my system info
