rating albums
« on: June 05, 2005, 05:13:35 pm »

Is there a way to rate albums as opposed to individual tracks?

I now have about 900 albums and would like to mark which ones are my favorites so they don't get lost in the crowd.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

No.  You  can setup a custome field however.  Do a search and you will see several recent topics address this issue better than I can.

Did the search and got my answer.

Establish a rating system for yourself, here is mine:

5 = excellent
4 = very good
3 = good
2 = fair
1 = poor

In my case my albums are by genre, i click on a genre and then go thru the albums    highlighting all that i think are 5's.

Then go to tag properites and in the perference field give them a 5.

Then under the audio section create a view scheme showing perference only and in its corresponding view scheme select album thumbnails, which matches my other schemes.

Now to see all 5 star albums simply click peferences under the audio view scheme and click 5 in the list, you now see all 5 star albums in your collection, works great.

repeat the process for all 4, 3, 2, 1 rated albums.
