How about writing "JRiver Kids Media Center"/"J. river Media center
kids Edition"

The fact is, Media Center is very popular.
And, I was thinking how about Making a kids version of MC.
What is the diference?
- very easy to use and, easy to understand
- lot of fun in buttons and bright interface
- easier to use/fun to use
- add baloons/Tutorial on how to use MC kids edition
- add kid games (if possible)
- change the skin to kids skin (be creative)

that way, there is the Normal MC and a kids MC.

Kids also use computer too.

Kids programs are always very popular.

There are Kids media players out there I believe.
However, I think this would be an AWESOME idea to make into reality. JRiver would be one of the first company, to make a first MEDIA CENTER for kids.

Good idea.  The first step would be a version of Media Center that would run for someone other than an administator.  That seems to be the case on Win XP Home.

C8,

MC11 should work for any user, not just admin.  MC10 didn't.

Interesting Idea,
It's similar to what I'm currently considering doing my dissertation on
next year when I return for my final year of Uni.
A Kids shell which introduces them to all things computer,
without the dangers of messing things up.
Making it nigh on impossible to delete things, removing
things like multi-tasking until it is actually needed,
combined with some sort of AI which slowly integrates into the underlying
operating system, so that the kids learn how to use the computer correctly.
 :)

Young Kids are a majorly forgotten target audience in my opinion,
and most the software that is written for them leaves alot to be
desired!

Accurate translation:
The idea is not bad. However, Media Center rules.
