Win XP Add-Remove Programs?
« on: October 09, 2002, 03:54:59 pm »

Why does add / remove programs in win XP say remove v9, and then wipe out 8? This blows. Just scraped everything I was working on in MJ. Is there some way to actually have this business know the difference between the two?

My friend, an uninstallater is a thing to have.
Ad\remove in Windows is  as good  as system restore and many other things...

I didn't think you could have V8 & V9 installed at the same time, or at least it wasn't recommended. Ouch!

You know, I did use MJ's uninstaller for 9. It was just left in the programs directory. Thought, hmmm, let's see if it shows up in add / remove. Yep. OK, gonna try and remove it this way.

ZORCH, there goes the neighborhood. $#!+. But it seems all is not lost. Quick download here and there and stuff is back in order.

It's just a little disheartening to see everything go POOF !!

I think when the uninstaller says remove everything, it should remove everything with that version.

Xenno,

It was just in the program directory. Sorry if there was confusion.
