I already have MC11 for myself and I was thinking I would like to purchase MC11 as a gift for a friend but I'm not sure how to go about that as I don't see a way to buy outside of installing and purchasing from app itself.  Any ideas?

Ok, that makes sense if I can get to a place where I can purchase a license, but that is my problem.  I don't see how to get there from the website and since I have a registered version on all my pc's I don't see any place to do a new purchase from the app.  Am I missing something so obvious I should be snake food?

You should be able to do it from the "MC Home" link at the top of the page here. Download and install to a different folder from your MC. Then:

Purchase a license using his name and address, but use PayPal and enter your PayPal info.
Give him the code and the URL of the restore page.

By "address", I believe John meant email address.

Give your friend the code and url on a floppy or something. You couold also burn the install file with the code and url onto a CDROM and give that to your friend so he(she) won't have to find the web site and download MC - it will also be a good backup)
