Theatre View/Video workaround

Not sure where to post this :

I have a suggestion for a minor enhancement (I think) to MC 11 to help mitigate DVD file playback.

How hard would it be to place a rt-click option similar to "standard view" into "Theatre View" which would be Send To-->Sent To External, and then allow for adding programs.  This would allow for, I think, a little easier play back for "unsupported" video from theatre view.
