strange error when opening MJ
« on: October 06, 2002, 06:40:20 am »

hmm.. I am getting the following error when trying to open MJ:

"you are attempting to open a database that is too new for this version of Media Jukebox. Please upgrade to the newest version"

I have always had fairly new versions, but I uninstalled and upgraded to 8.0.382 anyway just in case.. still gives me same error, even when just trying to open ordinary MP3 files, or from desktop without any media playing.  Any ideas??

Manually remove database files from the following directory:
<MJ install dir>\Data\*.jmd

During installation, Media Jukebox have created backup files. The files should be located in on of the subdirectories of the Data directory. I don't remember the name off the top of my head, but I think it's called Backup. Move these files into your Data directory. After that, everything should be back to normal.
