WebHosting....
« on: July 10, 2005, 03:48:41 pm »

Well, hopefully this is ok to post.....

I am looking for a hosting service so I can create my own website.... I'm kinda bored so this is purely for fun.
As there are a ton of places to go, I have found HostDone ( http://www.hostdone.com/wincompare.htm ) and am wondering how this stackjs up price wise,

I get 8us month,
1500mb storage (1.5 gig)
and 50 gb traffic month.
Tools to create a website  (I have never done this before.)

Is there anything else that I should look for?

Thanks

Thanks King... That looks like  a much better deal.

Are you signed up as a affiliate? If so, you may be able to get 90$ if I sign up....

I've been using 8-95.com for a while now with good results.  I'm on the $3.95/month plan for 800 MB of space and 10 GB transfer.

If you don't need handholding it's the way to go as far as I'm concerned...

Thanks for the input...

I think I'm going to go with the one King mentioned...

4.95 With 2500mb storage and 100gig transfer!

Just make sure you don't need any SQL databases, since that package doesn't come with any!

The one up from that one does....
6.99 mo,
5,000 mb space
300gb Transfer

+ 2 MySQL & 2 PostgreSQL databases

I'm not sure what I would use the SQL for..... I'm just starting out.... Not sure how to create the website once I get the space.... It's a big learning curve   :)

I was thinking about buying a forum package and let them set it up for me
