Troubles downloading CD info
« on: June 11, 2003, 02:52:58 am »

Dear fellow users,

I have used MJ 8 a time without Internet Connection.

CD's I played then he tried to find the info, but ofcouse failed.

When I play them now, he apparently labeled them as "no info available", because he does not try to find the info.

Where is this is this info stored, so I can delete it.

By the way in the past I encounterd a similar problem.

If you play "Pink Floyd an other brick in the wall" It finds the info on the first disk, but the files on the second disk are just called track 1, 2, 3, ... etc.

Is there a way around this.

Luistervink.

Put the disk in the drive, right click on the CD icon, and choose "Lookup" from the options.

If a cd is put in and MJ\MC comes up with "Track 1" etc..... from the local Database. Maybe MJ\MC should ask the user would you like to check for the disk again.

I right click the CD icon and Update from YADB worked.  Thanks for the tip.  It sure would be nice if MJ would just do this without asking after it does not find the info on the CD.  How can I set it to Update automatically.  Under device setting I have Enabled Online Lookup and the product manual indicated that this would happen automatically, without referring to the tip you provide to get the info manually.

Nice tip!  How do I get the info automatically, i.e. witout right clicking?

if you never inserted the the it should find it, if not you will need to right click.

there maybe a MJ data file you can erase that will releave you from needing to use right click but i am not sure what the file is called.
