iPod throws C++ runtime error
« on: July 17, 2005, 01:25:45 am »

Anytime I click on the handheld player option in the action window, this error comes up.  The iPod shows up in drives and devices but I can't even right click it.  If i do a tiny box comes up with no informatoin displayed.  MC will not connect with the iPod.  I am using 11.0.309 and it also happened on 305 as well.  I hae not changed anyhting with the iPod since the last sync.

It sounds like your iPod database is messed up.  Try using Windows Explorer to browse to your iPod. Locate your iTunesDB file (in iPod_Control\iTunes) and delete it. Try connecting again and then if it works, right click on your iPod and select 'Initialize' to start cleanly. 'Initalize' will remove your files from iPod. If you prefer to not lose your data on iPod, you can use the 'Rebuild database from iPod' option.
