When scanning album cover art my system locks completely the second time I try to scan. It allows me to scan and capture 1 image and then tags the files,however, when I try to scan another album cover art and click the capture from scanner option the system fails to respond. I have to physically switch off the machine and re-start it whereupon the scanner option works again but only for 1 capture.

Is there a patch for this problem?

That may be a scanner problem.  Try seeing if you can get newer software for it.
