Any way to do versioning with MC?
« on: July 22, 2005, 10:29:16 am »

Is there any way to do (or any plans to add) versioning to MC?  I have my entire CD library stored on my PC in lossless format (APE at the moment).  I also need an MP3 copy of each file, but don't want to have to maintain both files if changes are made (like ratings, tag changes, etc) - especially considering changes can be made to the MP3 version while outside of MC (like changing ratings on a handheld).  Basically I want MC to treat multiple copies of the same file (filea.ape, filea.mp3) as one entity when any changes are made to the basic tag or library info for any copy.

I maintain a master APE database and duplicate MP3 database.  That would be nice to be able to link them somehow so you wouldn't have to duplicate tagging efforts.
