I'll start off by saying: GREAT PRODUCT. Although the UI may still not be quite as polished as some of the other media players, J River Media Center is unparalled in terms of features.

I started playing with the uPnP Server today. Until I tried Media Center, I couldn't get any other uPnP server software to work well with my D-Link DSM-320 (choppy playback, slow menu response, crashes). The Media Center uPnP server solves all of these problems. However, I was wondering if there is a way to enable shuffle playback? I simply want the DSM-320 to play back songs in random order. So far all I have been able to do is get the DSM-320 to play back songs in order. It would also be good if the Media Center uPnP server could populate the "next" field on the DSM-320 so that you could see which song is cued up.

Hi Doubrown,

You should be able to create a smartlist with random content and play that on the DSM-320.
