2 questions:
How big can be the cdplayer.ini folder?I know there is a limit ,but i do not remember.
Can you save cdplayer.ini on a floppy or a cd and re-enter it in the new cdplayer.ini in case of problems or clean install?
To get infos from cdbb or YADB is a pain in the a..,it takes time.
I want once for good get infos for all my cds, well a part of it.After this i will be quiet on this side.
We are speaking about minimum 1000+ cds

If I remember correctly, Microsoft set a size limit of 64 kb for all ini files.  That makes it pretty useless for cdplayer.ini.  Mine filled to the limit a long time ago.

Hi,
My cdplayer.ini is currently at 830kb, with some 1800 cds entered.
I have, however, never been able to get MJ to read info from it. I use Music Collector to export the info to cdplayer.ini.  CDex reads it every time.  I also thought there was a maximum for the ini file.
It would be nice if MJ would read it. Anyone else experienced this?
I am using Win ME
regards,
Geoff

Feurio warns me when it adds a new entry after burning a new CD, but I have not had any problems with it.  Mine is 126KB.

Are any of you running XP or Win2000? The file size limitation shouldn't be a problem on these OS's.

All the searchs about cdplayer.ini give 64kbs.But all the results speak about Windows 95.Since W95,maybe you can put more.
If i remember well RealJukebox does not put cd infos in 'cdlayer.ini' but in a folder inside'program files-real-realjukebox'.
I know you can import it to 'cdplayer.ini',RealJukebox use it and his own folder when you put a cd.

So'cdplayer.ini' is AGAIN a Microsoft s-h-i-t.With around 60 cds,i have allready 12 kbs take of the 64....
Can Media Jukebox have, like RealJukebox his own folder?

They must have lifted the 64K limit. With W2k I have a few *.ini's that are 250 to 500K in size.
