Crash/hang on playing short WAVs [solved]

What's the source of this "WAV" file?

GoldWave Audio Editor V5.10. In case it helps you, I've uploaded it to www.chrisjj.com/temp/Media_River_Test.wav .

The file plays as expected.

Try updating your sound card driver.

Try switching playback between direct sound to wav out.

Other playback options may help.

It also opens fine in Media Editor.

You might also try updating Windows.

If you have another PC, try it there.
