You've got something "special" going on with that file.  I'm trying to help.  I can play the file.  You can't.  What's different.

If you do Windows, check for updates, there are a lot of other possible changes that _might_ affect your problem. 

And PLEASE try it on another PC just to satisfy yourself that it will play.

Your options? As I keep saying, this is a report of failure with installation defaults.

Well that's handy to know thanks, since MC is the only player out of MC, WMP, WinAmp, GoldWave and others on this machine that crashes on this or any short WAV.

I am satisfied it will play thanks. And Jim, did you miss the confirmation in this thread from jgreen, on another PC?
