Cut and Paste columns?
« on: August 10, 2005, 11:58:43 pm »

Thanks Alex B. Your suggestion gives me exactly the results I was looking for. Next step-

I want to copy the data in the column Artist to the Column Album Artist. So far I have to do it entry by entry, which is 9000 plus rows. Is there any way to cut and paste one column's data to another column, or have Media Center use one to fill another?

Also, while I am here I am looking how to fill the Bios or Lyrics fields. I've just started to look but I am sure someone here knows.

And yes, my track tagging and file names border OCD. I only wish everyone's did.

Thanks,
Ryan

I've not so far used it, but i think Tools/Library Tools/Move-copy Fields would do this, someone else more experienced may comment.  see the help file for warning on different types of fields as well.
cheers,
Geoff
