Hdd070/00 problem

hey,
K i got a philips hdd070/00 and nows it dying on me. Its frozen ever after reset so now it sais to install device manager and restore it. Problem is when I try to install device manager and everything else on the disc it sais i need service pack 1 or later. I have sp 2. Deeply confused.
