Controlling music and parallel slideshow through command line
« on: September 03, 2005, 01:25:07 pm »

While playing music I would like to be able to start and stop an MC11 slideshow through command line/girder. I have used another slideshow program before but found that random wasn't always random and that problem effectively goes away if you create an image only smartlist in MC.

BUT: How do I start and stop an image smartlist via command line? I guess starting would still work through the MC11.exe programm and then specifying a smartlist but how do I stop it again without stopping the music?

A few additional questions: Is the MC slideshow image quality equal to e.g. ACDSee? I assume the picture isn't modified on the fly to reduce its size or something? What does auto-pan on zoom do? Is there a way to repeat the slideshow once it has reached its end? Ideally randomized again... ;)

BUt the real question is the command line trick. How would I do that?
