MC Cannot Connect to Beacon API (Beacon Running)

Hello,
I am running the newest release candidate of 11.1 and I cannot connect to the Tivo beacon for some reason.  I get the following message:

12/27/05 10:48:22 - Checking TiVo Beacon installation
12/27/05 10:48:22 - Connecting to Beacon.
12/27/05 10:48:22 - Unable to connect to Beacon, the API does not exist.
12/27/05 10:48:22 - Unable to start sharing

I have the Tivo desktop installed and it is being seen by my Tivo box.  I also have Galleon installed, this is also working normally.  Is there something I am missing?  I've never had this issue before by I had to reinstall windows so I do not know where the issue lies.  Is this issue my setup?

Any news on making this plugin an HME application?

Thanks I will try that.  Is the Tivo beacon 2.2 support going to be fixed in MC 11.1?

I'm working on this now, but it's very strange. I've found an unrelated problem that is preventing me from trying to duplicate your problem. I'll post what I figure out soon...

I've been unsuccesful at reproducing this. It has happened to me occasionally, but I don't know how to make it happen.

For now, as a workaround, I've added a "Reset Beacon" button to the TiVo Server options. This actually re-installs the beacon, and should make things start working again.

Let me know if the workaround works, and if you have any ideas on how to cause the beacon to stop working...

Ok,
What build is that change in?  I have build 105..
So I have Tivo desktop 2.2 + Galleon + MC running.  I will try combinations of disabling.

Saw the button, clicked it and MC crashed :-(
Tried it again, same issue.

I shut down galleon and Tivo Desktop 2.2 and started MC again.  I had the same issue.

As far as I understand it, it should attach to the existing Tivo Desktop 2.2 beacon right?

I mention the version because I thought I remember the beacon was the issue.

I'll keep playing around.  Is there anything else I can provide?

You do not see the same issue?
