Sound problem
« on: October 05, 2005, 08:42:50 pm »

I'd like to see if anyone else is having this problem. If I right or left click on a music file, it will play through and sound normal. But the next song that comes up will sound like it is washed out for bass and treble. If I move the volume toggle slightly back to the left the song will then begin to come through with a full normal sound. If I double click to begin the process it will continue normally though to the next song and it will sound normal. I am running 11.0.314. I have uninstalled, cleared the registry and done a complete reinstall. My music directory is on my C: drive where Media Center resides. Any ideas?

Try switching output methods. (WaveOut vs DirectSound)

Also, check DSP studio to make sure nothing is running.

Any other sound software installed that could be lurking in the background?
