11.1.49 create a new thread cause this is long;

creative zen micro (just a zen, not as a removable drive) will not sync at all anymore, it just generates error in the sync list

it will delete and list files properly, just won't upload


debug info: from sync, just the first couple are shown, all 400 odd songs do the same thing.

It finally finished this initialize stuff at around 7:11.  This is the second time I've plugged it in with the new build, 11.1.51.

After I finally get to the sync screen, it analyzes the files i want to put on there, puts  up a message about duplicates and such as necessary, then freezes.

personally, i have a zen xtra with the newest firmware (which is around a year old sadly).

Lets separate our discussion from the one that began the thread by rhom. In his case, he has a Zen Micro which is significantly different in how it interacts with MC from the Zen Xtra.

Having said that, lets focus on your issue. Does Windows Media Player recognize your Xtra without problems. If so, try removing all drivers for the Xtra and reinstall them on your PC.

11.1.51 syncs now, but i also updated my firmware (to 2.20.05) for another issue, so i'm not really sure if the original problem is still there.
